Dr Luísa Borges — Founder & Director#

Luísa holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of the Azores, Portugal, and a PhD in Marine Biology from the University of Portsmouth, UK. She has contributed her expertise to various research projects and shared her findings at scientific gatherings — congresses, conferences, and invited seminars — and published her results openly to advance the wider field. In 2015, she established L³ Scientific Solutions, a platform that fosters collaboration in research initiatives and delivers tailored workshops to nurture the next generation of scientists. In addition to several scientific articles (see Publications), Luísa authored a popular science book, entitled “How To Do More For the Environment With a Little Help From Science: A Guide To Lowering Your Carbon Footprint, Improving Your Health, and Saving Money.” This publication offers practical guidance on reducing one’s environmental impact, improving personal well-being, and saving money through the lens of science.
